2024 GLATA Annual Meeting Learning Objectives

 

  1. Evaluate and apply evidence-based strategies to help empower patients to improve primary and functional health literacy skills and gain greater agency in and control over their care decisions.
     
  2. Discuss and implement plans to aid in risk reduction and referral in accordance with evidence-based practice and applicable guidelines, specifically around mental health and wellness in athletes and patients.
     
  3. Understand, apply, and evaluate practical skills (e.g., wearable technology, safer return to work) for patient-centered clinical practice/management across a spectrum the spectrum of therapeutic interventions (e.g., cupping, myofascial release, manual therapy, craniosacral therapy, Constraints-Led Approach), body regions (e.g., eye, shoulder, knee, ankle) and pathologies (e.g., osteoarthritis, concussion, mental health, shoulder dislocations, lower leg pain).
     
  4. Demonstrate optimizing patient outcomes by developing, evaluating, and updating the care plan through appropriate injury surveillance, proper documentation, and quality assurance checks.
     
  5. Recognize the application of wearable technology across various settings in the Athletic Training field and contextualize the measurement capabilities of wearable technologies to clinical applications among athletes.
     
  6. Discuss, evaluate, and apply evidence-based strategies to empower athletic trainers to lead the way to effective and efficient delivery of healthcare services across varied settings and populations in a safe space in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, requirements, and professional standards.

GLATA is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers.

  1. Cancellation request received four weeks prior to the start of the scheduled meeting = Full Refund minus $10.00 processing fee.
  2. Cancellation request received two weeks prior to the start of the scheduled meeting = 75% Refund.
  3. Cancellation request received on day prior to the start of the scheduled meeting = 50% Refund.
  4. Cancellation request received after the start of the conference = No Refund.
